National Association of the Deaf, a national membership organization headquartered in the Washington DC area.

Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, the national organization of sign language interpreters.

Gallaudet University, a liberal arts university in Washington , DC that serves people who are Deaf and hard of hearing, and also is an international source of information on deafness and hearing loss.

California State University, on behalf of the university, has a division, called National Center on the Deafness, that dedicates to the academic counseling, academic programs, and interpreting services for the deaf and hard of hearing college students.
